The National Impact of Theology

What we conclude about the conditions and circumstances of the times we now live in are primarily the result of theology. Not politics. Not economics. Not culture.
No, it’s theology that provides the foundation that ultimately drives and influences the course trajectory of marriages and family, churches, towns, cities, and nations. If the theology is in error, then all of culture in all of its many parts will eventually result in corruption, deterioration, and destruction. If theology is true, correct, and certain, all the many aspects of culture that make up national society will result in righteousness, justice, order, peace, and joy – all the hallmarks of true theology.
Let’s Talk About Theology
But why is theology really at the heart from which everything proceeds and dictates the conditions and circumstances of our personal, relational, and national culture? There are several reasons.
First, let’s define theology. Theology is a set of objective propositions that set forth a system of belief. That often translates into what we think and believe. For example, theology tells us about God – whether there is one or not. Whether there is one God or many gods.
Second, theology tells us about how we view God’s relationship with us. Theology tells us, or tries to explain, the “world” or what is going on around us and how we are to understand that “world” and how we may or may not fit into it.
Every person is a theologian. Everyone has some sort of theology by which he or she tries to understand life and the meaning or purpose of life. Everything, whether we realize it or not, has its basis in some kind of theology. It gives us a perspective, right or wrong, about life. What you believe and think identifies you and that comes from theology.
The Impact of Theology: First Example
My premise here is that if theology is not correct, the results will eventually be destructive, harmful, and perhaps even fatal. For example, let’s set forth a well-known and accepted theological proposition that goes something like this: “If we bless Israel, then we will be blessed.” In other words, if we support and defend the Jews and the “state of Israel” over in the Middle East or anywhere else, then America will be blessed. This is the theology of the American evangelical culture today.
How do we know if that theology is correct? We look at the results. Is America blessed? I think few stop to really think about the answer to this. If they did, and were honest about what is really going on in our land politically and economically, and the present conditions resulting in the complete breakdown in every area of life spiritually, physically, and mentally, we would have to honestly say something is very wrong. Clearly, we are not being blessed. (See The Kingdom of God Manifested, Book Seven.)
If that is the case, then that should suggest that, perhaps, this theological position is in error. In America, we are living the results of that theology. How bad do things need to get before we come to our senses and stop to re-examine that theology? Disastrous results suggest false theology.
The Impact of Theology: Second Example
The theological proposition pervasive in “Christian” evangelical as well as Catholic circles is that the gospel of the Kingdom according to Jesus Christ and His Apostles is equally applicable and intended for every race and racial subtype on the planet.
Therefore, “world missions” is highly valued, massive non-stop multiethnic immigration is good and welcomed, and “Christian” churches should strive for multiracial and multicultural integration.
Andy Olsen, editor of Christianity Today wrote this:
Anyone who takes Scripture seriously must also embrace its promise of a coming multiethnic worship community comprising “every nation, tribe, people and language” (Rev. 7:9). In the meanwhile, multiethnic churches will be messy, will often be difficult, and for some today, may even feel impossible. But done right, they offer an environment like none other to model the ways God’s love for his people transcends social status, power structures, and credentials. (p. 7) – Quoted by Lawrence Blanchard, The Authentic Gospel, p. 160.
Don’t worry about the radically changing demographics for the predominantly Caucasian countries. In the 1960s the Caucasians were 90%. Now they are less than 60% and declining. Don’t worry about the increasing violent crime and lawlessness non-White humans bring to America. Forget about the massive drug problem, child trafficking, and bulging prison populations. Forget about the cost of all this.
This is not a blip on the radar. It’s taking over the whole screen.
Multicultural-racial theology fuels the fire and judgment of the destruction of America (and every European country today). The evidence of this judgment testifies of an errant theology. I write about this extensively in my book, The Authentic Gospel: Restoring the Original Intent.
Conclusion
We have two choices before us. Either we keep going in the same direction of national degeneration or we earnestly start seeking out the truth about what the Bible says and means. Why? Because in the pages of Scripture we will find God’s answer. It is based on theology that is true, correct, and certain.
